Abstract
TiO_2 nanoparticles were produced by gas phase hydrolysis of titanium tetrachloride in a multi-jet flame reactor using premixed H_2/air flame and assisted combustion.The effects of operating parameters on particle size,morphology and crystallinity were investigated using TEM,XRD,and BET surface area analyzer.The operating conditions may be varied to produce the desired particles of 16~34 nm in(diameter,) 34~121 m/g in specific surface area and 0.09~0.62 in rutile mass fraction.The nanoparticles were spherical in shape and uniformly distributed within the narrow size range.
