Preparation of Grafted Carbon Black by in situ Solid State Grafting Reaction and Its Application in Coating

Organic small molecules were grafted onto the carbon black through in situ solid state grafting reaction in Haake Rheometer.The AFM image indicated that the grafted carbon black was mono-dispersed,and its particle size was about 30 nm. Comparing the original one,the grafted carbon black,as coating reagent,shows better adhesive ability,such as gloss.The SEM images also show the grafted carbon black is dispersed uniformly at nano-scale in coating.
