Treatment of the wastewater containing amino acids by electrodialysis

Purification and concentration of the wastewater containing amino acids by electrodialysis were studied. The results show that wastewater purification can be combined with amino acids concentration by electrodialysis. The removal efficiency of amino acids in the effluent is high and amino acids in the concentrated solution could be recoveried and used. Under authors' experiment condition the COD value was reduced about 90%, and concentration of amino acids in the concentrated solution has reached 0.1 mol.
