The Diagrammethod and Its Application on Planar Gradient Fields
It is shown that for a curved surface,the tangent of the angle between the largest gradeline on its tangential plane and the horizontal plane is equal to the gradient of the surface.By the graphic method,the largest gradeline can be constituted in place of finding theirpartial derivatives.
