Investigation on possibility of using liquid-liquid dispersion data of BSTR* design CSTR

It is necessary and possible to use liquid-liquid dispersion data of BSTR to design CSTR. It has been shown analitically and experimentally in this paper that if inlet and outlet positions of reactor is reasonably designed, liquid-liquid dispersion data of BSTR will be the same as that of CSTR, and can be directly used to design CSTR. The results have been used in the process development of polycarbonate, and the design of CSTR for polymerization.
