Abstract
The catalytic oxidation of benzene was carried out in a tubular fixed-bed reactorfor studying effects of inert heat conducting fittings. Heat conducting inserts helpincrease effective axial conductivity, and thus leads to extending multiple steady-stateregion of the reactor. Consequently, the operating features and the flexibility of thereactor are improved. Besides, the product yield is raised about 2% due to even tem-perature distribution.
