    Study on Asbestos-Free Friction Materials

    • By detailed measurement and comparison, it is found that the tribological and mechanical properties of friction materials reinforced with steel fiber are superior to those with aluminum silicate fiber or neutral glass fiber. With the aid of the orthogonal design method, a concrete method of prescription formulation as well as some useful prescriptions of the semi-metal friction material were presented. Using modem analytical tools, the surface and the wear debris were analyzed and the mechanism of debris formation was discussed.
