Abstract
By applying Wagner polarization measurement,the effect of antifoggants on electron conductivity and hole conductivity of silver bromide iodide T-grain emulsions was studied.Results showed that,when used as doponts,four kinds of antifoggants,1-ethyl-1H-tetrazole-5-thiol,morpholine-4-carbothioic acid S-(1-phenyl-1-tetrazole-5-yl) ester,1H-benzotriazole-carboxylic acid phenyl ester and(2-(methylthio))-4-ol-6-methyl- triazolo pyrimidine all possessed a certain effect on the electric property of silver bromide iodide T-grain emulsion,with 1-ethyl-1H-tetrazole-5-thiol antifoggant(indicating) the strongest effect.There was a close relationship between the electric property of silver bromide iodide T-grain emulsion added with stabilizer and antifoggant and anti-fog property of the emulsion,i.e.,when the electron conductivity and hole conductivity of silver bromide iodide T-grain emulsions(increased) due to stabilizer and antifoggant,the stability and anti-fog property of the emulsions would be(enhanced.)
