An Approach to Data Integration Based on Semantic Web Technique and Ontology

This paper addresses semantic Web based approach for data integration. To improve its expressivity, the semantic web ontology language is extended by a rule-based system. Semantic Web technique is systematically applied to various aspects of an ontologybased data integration system, including data extraction, ontology building, ontology mapping, data query, and data persistence. Finally, a case study is presented to show the feasibility of this proposed method.
