Abstract

CB-15 was prepared from ( + )-2-methylbutyl-p-toluenesulfonate by Grignard reaction, Iodation and cyanation. The yield is 15%. The mechanism of substitution reaction between ( + )-2-methylbutyl-p-toluenesulfonate with biphenyl magnasium bromide was also discussed.
