    Finite Intermediate Storage Flow Shop Scheduling under Uncertainty Based on Cultural Algorithm with Catastrophe

    • The scheduling problem of finite intermediate storage is considered for some unstable materiel in multi-production batch process. By describing the processing time as rough variables, a rough scheduling model is established and is further explicitly equalized. Furthermore, a new cultural algorithm with catastrophe is proposed. Aimed at the scheduling problem, both the structure of the belief space and the communication channels between the belief space and the population space are constructed. Besides, the principle of catastrophe for solving the problem of ceased evolution is proposed. Finally, the simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheduling model and algorithm. The comparison with improved genetic algorithm and cultural algorithm without catastrophe further shows that the present algorithm is of better searching performance.
