    Eutectic Potassium Salt Compound with High Thermal Stability

    • Eutectic behavior,thermal stability,influence law and formulation of eutectic compound with low melting point and high thermal stability of KCl、KBr and K2SO4 ternary compound are studied.The eutectic compound can be formed under certain component concentration.The sequence of influence degree of KCl,KBr and K2SO4 on the formulation of eutectic compound is KBr > KCl > K2SO4.When the mass fractions of KCl,KBr and K2SO4 are 20%~30%,20%~40% and 30%~40%,respectively,the combination has the widest eutectic scope.The compound thermal stability is related to the component concentration.When the mass fractions of KCl,KBr and K2SO4 are 30%,30% and 40%,respectively,the eutectic compound reaches the highest decomposition temperature (717℃) and the lowest melting point temperature (662℃).The product made in our lab shows lower melting point and higher decomposition temperature than those of commercially available ones.
