Optimization of Extraction of Lycopene from Fermentation by Blakeslea trispora

    • As a kind of carotenoids, lycopene has the functions such as enhancing immunity,anti-aging,which is mainly produced by microorganism fermentation to meet the market demand. To enhance the extract yield, and reduce complex impurity components in the fermentation broth, different solvents and methods are used to process wet mycelium in this paper.By the combination of organic solvents extraction and ultrasonication, the extract effects of mycelium state, saponification conditions, dehydrating agent, extraction solvents, the ratio of mycelium biomass and extraction solvent, extraction time and extraction temperature were tested and all the samples used had been filtered and washed before. The results showed that it was feasible to extract lycopene directly from wet mycelium, and the optimum conditions were listed below:the saponification agent of 0.6 mol/L NaOH,ethanol dehydrating time of 10 min,the ratio of mycelium biomass (g) and extraction solvent volume (mL) of 1:75,ultrasonic processing time of 20 min at 45 ℃ with ethyl acetate as extraction agent.
