Abstract: CIMS of continuous industry and CIMS of discrete industry are based on the same basic ideas, but there are still some differences between their characteristics. By contrasting them on multiple factors, this paper illuminates that these differences are concerned with three aspects: industry background, system design idea, and technologic constitution. Furthermore, this paper verfies their differences by grey clustering analysis.
