Abstract:
The boiling points of two binary systems,trioxane-water and trioxane-1,2dichloroethane, were determined under atmospheric pressure with a pump-ebulliometer.The vapor-phase compositions were calculated from the TPx data by an indirect method. The model parameters of the liquid activity coefficient were correlated by the simplex method. The calculated boiling point and dew point were in good agreement with experimental data. The azeotropic temperature and compositions of the trioxane-water system under atmospheric pressure were also predicted.
