Abstract:
An effective method for improvement transient response in pulse-width modulation(PWM) current source converter is studied.The resonance current,caused by the LC low pass filter at the step change of PWM switching pattern,can be effectively suppressed by one pulse control of the pattern.The proposed method does not need to have the feedback loop of the current or voltage,and does not offer the switching stress of the devices.The switching timing of the control is determined by pre-(calculation) in designing of the circuit constants.The experimental results for both single-phase and threephase PWM converters are given.They are compared with those without the control.The(results) show that the transient response of supply current in the proposed converter is improved effectively.
