Abstract: A new method is proposed for treatment of citric acid fermentation liquid with active carbon adsorption. The effects are discussed of the temperature, flow rate, stopping flow and concentration of recycle alkali on the adsorption and desorption. The problem of emulsion forming between the two phases is solved in extracting process of citric acid. The fundamental data are adapted for this process.
