Abstract:
A two dimensional modeling of fluid flow and heat tranfer in the laminar chemical vapor condensation reactor was presented. The effects of variable physical properties were taken into account. The velocity and temperature fields in forced convection are solved by means of the algorithm of SIMPLEC. The temperature distribution between nozzle and substrate, and Nusselt number at the center of the substrate were studied as a function of various parameters such as nozzle wall temperature, substrate temperature, nozzle substrate distance, and Reynolds number.
