Abstract:
A large number of studies have demonstrated that micro surface texture can affect the lubrication performance of journal bearings. Some microcosmic texturing structures of sliding surfaces can be produced with the surface micromachining technology. Based on the existing surface texture structures, the journal bearing which has spherical texturing surface is taken as the research objective to establish a calculating model. By numerically simulating with the finite difference method, effects of spherical texturing on the performance of the journal bearing are studied systematically and various factors are analyzed. A series of performance influence curves were obtained and explained.
