    The synthesis of PVA-vanillin acetal, an auxin of prolonged releasing power and the determination of its hydrolytic property

    • 摘要: 以DMSO为溶剂、对甲苯磺酸或浓硫酸作催化剂,由聚乙烯醇和香草醛制备了聚乙烯醇缩香草醛,其缩醛度可达55%。室温下该缩醛可水解而缓慢释放出香草醛。

       

      Abstract: The preparation of a polyvinyl acetal by the reaction of polyvinyl alcohol with vanillin is reported. The acetalization is accomplished in a solvent of DMSO with p-toluene sulfonic acid or sulfuric acid as catalysts. The degree of acetalization may attain to 55%.Due to the hydrolytic property of acetal, vanillin will be released step by step at a very slow rate under room temperature.
