Abstract:
Immobilized methanotroph Z201 whole cell for producing propylene oxide from propylene was studied.Carrageenan was found Suitable to entrap those whole cells and condi-tions of immobilization were searched for. The effects of pH, temperature,activator and phosphate concentration on propylene oxide production by immobilized whole cells were plotted and the kinetic constants of monooxygenase of immobilized cells were gained.The enzyme activity of entrapped cells reached 94.9%of free cells and still reached 10%10 days later, and its half-life was 1.5 days.
