Abstract:
The water quality simulation and planning model for Dianshan Lake was developed, consisting of a series of subroutines for two-dimensional steady-or dynamic-state water quality simulation, nitrogen-phosphorus cycle simulation, environmental capacity calculation and optimum planning. A comprehensive study has been taken, using three groups of water quality variables in Dianshan Lake. It includes the calibration of model parameters, sensitivity analysis and verification, the tendency on water quality in the lake and the comparison for several schemes of the allowable discharge loadings to meet different objectives of water quality. An optimum control plan was proposed to be the strategic decision making.
