Abstract:
In order to improve the quality, bio-oil from pyrolysis of biomass in spouted fluidized reactor was further upgraded by catalytic cracking procedure. Thermal weight loss curves of pyrolysis bio-oil and upgraded bio-oil were determined by TG-DTA method in the oxygen atmosphere at different superheating rates, and combustion kinetic parameters were calculated. The results show that the volatilization energy decreases from 38.23 kJ/mol to 28.21 kJ/mol and the activity energy significantly decreases from 173.64 kJ/mol to 80. 95 kJ/mol after upgrading. The upgraded bio-oil is more combustible in comparison to pyrolysis oil.
