Abstract:
A pedestrian impact equipment is designed based on the EEVC(European Enhanced Vehicle-Safety Committee) requirements of pedestrian protection. In this paper, the working principle of the system and the design of its functional modules are introduced. The relationship between needed nitrogen pressure and flight speed of the head is built and its test capability is simulated in respect of accuracy control. The simulation results show that the equipment meets the requirements of EEVC and can be used for the next step in the design and development.
