Abstract:
Allyl chloride was used as a modifier for resole resin in order to improve its storage stability and alkali resistance properties. Then Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),thermogravimetry (TG),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA) were used to characterize the change of structures, thermal properties and dynamic mechanical properties. Results indicated that the allyl groups grafted onto the resole resion successfully, and the storage period increased from 30 d to 102 d.The glass transition temperature of the cured resin was improved from 58℃ to 122℃.The properties of corrosion resistance and heat resistance were also improved to some extent.Mechanical properties showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing with the increase of allyl group content.
