Abstract:
In this paper, the scale inhibition of combination of polyaspartic acid (PASP) and oxidized starch (OSIII) was discussed. The optimum dosage of the combination is: PASP 1 mg/L, and OSIII 1 mg/L. It can be used in water system with high calcium concentration and high pH value, and the significant scale inhibition can still be remained even staying in high temperature water system for long resident time. In addition, it can control the growth of crystal lattice of calcium carbonate. As a result, the dimension of grain is smaller.
