Abstract:
Using the mixture templeting reagent, tetrabutyl titanate as titanium source, tetraethyl orthosilicate as silicon source, the synthesis of Ti Si zeolite was studied. TS 1 zeolite was prepared using the mixture of tetrapropyl ammonium bromide (TPABr) and tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) as a templating reagent at 443K. XRD, IR and SEM were employed to characterize the synthesize samples. The surface area of samples was measured by BET. These studies indicated that the Ti 4+ entered the framework of silicalite 1 in the samples using the templating reagent of TPABr and TEAOH. But the crystal of TS 1 zeolite could not be obtained using TPABr + diethyl amine (DEA) or TPABr + trimethyl amine (TMA) as a templating reagent. The results of SEM also showed that the size of the crystal prepared with the mixture templating reagent was more irregular and larger than that with TPAOH. The influence of adding NH 4OH to adjust the pH of the solution synthesizing zeolite on the growth and topology of crystal is different with the situation of adding TEAOH. The function of organic bases (TEAOH, TEA and DMA) in the synthesis gel was also discussed.
