Abstract:
The relationship of activity of iron complex oxide catalyst and time in continuous stirred tank reactor (m-CSTR) was set up with the help of experimental data of the hydroxylation of phenol and hydrogen peroxide. The experimental results show that the activity of catalyst attenuates swiftly. In order to maintain stable industrial operations continuously, part of catalyst from m-CSTR was recycled and some fresh catalyst was complemented. According to the relationship, the activity and its distribution of catalyst in m-CSTR were calculated. The results show that the average activity is as 0.85 or more of the initial one when the recycled ratio is lower than 0.6. The ratio of products is almost mintained at the original level. The effect of series number of m-CSTR on the activity of catalyst is faintish.
