    PhotoResponsive Polymer Networks Based on α-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Association

    • 摘要: 分别制备了α环糊精(αCD)和偶氮苯(azo)修饰的聚丙烯酸聚合物αCDPAA和azoPAA,用1HNMR对产物进行了表征。利用αCD与azo之间的包合作用,成功制备了光敏性大分子自组装网络。流变学研究发现,该体系在紫外光照射后黏度降低一个数量级,避光处理后黏度又可恢复,这种黏度变化可随着紫外光和避光处理反复可逆地进行。核磁共振和紫外可见吸收光谱的研究表明,体系中azo分子在紫外光照及避光处理后的顺/反式构型异构是导致azoPAA/αCDPAA聚合物网络体系表现出光敏性的主要原因。

       

      Abstract: Two polymers, αCD and azobenzene modified poly(acrylic acid)s (αCDPAA and azoPAA) were prepared and characterized by 1HNMR. The photoresponsive polymer networks were prepared by macromolecular assembly based on the inclusion associations between azo and αCD grafts after mixing aqueous solutions of αCDPAA and azoPAA. Under irradiation of 365 nm UV light, viscosity of the network decreased by nearly one order of magnitude, while recovered after keeping the sample in dark for some time. The viscosity change was reversible and repetitive under UV irradiation and in dark. The viscosity change was due to the cis/trans transition of azo group under UV irradiation as studied by NMR and UVVis absorption spectra.
