Abstract:
The effect of microwave on nickel and vanadyl porphyrins in Beijiang crude oil was investigated. Nickel and vanadyl porphyrins from Beijiang crude oil were extracted and analyzed using six solvents with increasing polarity before and after microwave treatment. Results indicated that the distribution of ETIO and DPEP nickel porphyrins and vanadyl porphyrins was changed significantly after microwave treatment. Contents of nickel and vanadium in crude oil decreased 30.93% and 50.78%, respectively. The reduction of nickel porphyrins accounted for 46.19% of the whole nickel reduction, and the reduction of vanadyl porphyrins accounted for 33.40% of the whole vanadium reduction after the microwave treatment.
