Abstract:
This paper takes V seal packing ring as research object and makes mechanical analysis on its installing compression process. By using the related theories of elastic mechanics, a calculation model for stress and deformation is forwarded in installing compression process with considering friction, pressing force and contact interference. A specific V seal ring under different operating conditions is calculated and analyzed using the established calculation model. Detail researches on the influences of axial pressure and interference of the seal ring on its axial displacement and stress on inner and outer contact surface are carried out. A series of curves are obtained and explained.
