Abstract:
The characteristic of liquid film formed during the process of the droplet impinging on the surface was investigated using a highspeed camera on the background of droplet movement in the cyclonetype separator. The influence of the We, impact velocity and diameter of the droplet on the satellite droplets and finger droplets was discussed, respectively. When the spreading diameter reaches to the maximum, volume rate of the finger droplets distributes from 0.2 to 0.6, which is close to Gauss distribution. The volume percentage of the larger satellite droplets increases with We. And the volume of the satellite droplets increases with the initial droplet diameter and the impact velocity. In addition, the number of the edge droplets, finger droplets and the satellite droplets decreases in sequence at a certain spreading process.
