Abstract: The theory of extension set and matter element is firstly applied to knowledge representation for expert system, and on the basis of the above research, a new system running mechanism, in which the degree of dependence is regarded as a criterion, is established in order to improve the skill of knowledge representation, furthermore, raise the intelligent level of expert system.
