Abstract:
A series of chemical degraded IPP samples were prepared with twin screw blend machine. Their molecular weight, distribution of molecular weight and rheological behaviour have been studied with GPC and HAAKE rheogonimeter. The mechanism of MWD changing to narrower of IPP after chemical degradation is discussed. The effects on rheological behaviour and on molecular movement when melt is in relative static condition or is flowing at pressure are analyzed. It is discovered that the effects of chemical degradation on reological behaviour and on MWD are similar in the mechanism to a certain respect.
