Abstract:
Coal tar pitch and wash oil were used as the main raw materials of a new asphalt recycled material. The regeneration experiment showed that penetration, softening point and component content of the aged asphalt could be recovered completely by adding
w=8% recycled material, while the ductility could be increased to 45.8 cm. The effect of adding the recycled material on rheology of the aging asphalt was also studied. Results showed that viscoelasticity of the regenerated asphalt could be recovered by 50%, and flow property was rarely changed. Compared with a petroleum based recycled material, the coal based recycled material had less effect on recovering anti fracture ability of the aged asphalt, but could maintain the anti-deformation ability.
