Abstract:
This paper proposes a quality rating method for Web services, which is driven by user's QoS expectation. In order to make quality rating objective and accurate, the rating method only considers users with similar expectation and allows their QoS assessment to have impact on the aggregated reputation rating for services. Furthermore, an algorithm for selecting Web services is established, which is driven by user's QoS expectation. The present algorithm can attain the selection with optimized QoS of Web service under satisfying user's appetite and expectation. A case study of electronic shopping services illustrates the feasibility of this proposed method.
