Abstract:
The nonequilibrium between fluid and porous metal foam inside a quadrate heat exchanger fitted with porous metal foam both in tube and shell sides was analyzed using the Brinkmanextended Darcy flow model under the constant heat flux condition. The flows of the hot and cold fluids were forced and laminar along the tube axial direction. The nonequilibrium can not be neglected when the velocity is low, the porous metal foam is with low porosity and low ppi number, and the thermal conduction difference between the fluid and the porous metal foam is significant.
