Abstract:
The enantioselective esterification of S(26methoxy2naphthyl) propionic acid with octanol catalyzed by lipase adsorbed on apolar macroporous resin in the mixture of isooctane and tetrachlora methane was taken as the model. The catalysis mechanism and kinetics of the reaction under nontraditional conditions were investigated. The results demonstrated that the reaction abided by the MechaelisMenten equation. The enzymatic esterification coincided with PingPong Bi Bi mechanism. Otherwise excess alcohol would competitively inhibit the reaction.
