Abstract:
The effects of asphalt content, type of asphalt mixes and asphalt individuals on thermal fracture of asphalt mixes were studid by thermal stress test. Experimental results indicate that there is close relationship between the Fraass breaking point and the thermal fracture temperature of asphalt mix, while the other factors have little influences. Experimental evidence has been given for the possibility of establishing a method to predict the thermal fracture temperature of asphalt pavement in winter.
