Abstract:
Three surfactant-based separation processes, foam separation, extraction and precipitation were adopted to separate gentamicin from aqueous solutions.Effects of process variables on the separation efficiency of gentamicin were studied. At the optimal conditions in simulated solutions, the recovery rates of those three methods were 72%,88% 4),and 87% respectively. The efficiency of foam separation and extraction drops were apparently lower when used in fermentation broth, but the separation efficiency of precipitation remains very high for gentamicin broth, and the value nearly reaches 100% when
