    Measuring the Flow Characteristics of Fermentation Broths with an Impeller Viscometer

    • 摘要: 为了克服常规粘度计在测定扭矩时碰到的困难,利用叶轮粘度计测定了九种丝状菌发酵液的流变特性。这些发酵液均为拟塑性,大多数发酵液的流动特性指数小于0.3。庆大霉素发酵液的最大稠度系数达22.4Ns~n/m~2,但用少量水稀释后就大大下降。温度对丝状菌发酵液的流动特性影响不大,但取样后的放置时间则有明显影响。

       

      Abstract: The reological properties of 9 kinds of mycelial cultures were measured with an impeller viscometer to overcome the difficulties in taking data of torque with conventional viscometers. All the cultures were pseudoplastic and the flow behavior indexes for most of the fermentation broths were below 0.3. The maximum consistency coefficient was as high as 22.4 Ns~n/m~2 for the broth of gentamycin fermentation, but it reduced drastically when the broth was diluted with a small amount of water. Temperature had little influence on the flow properties of mycelial cultures, while the standing time of the samples after being sampled had an obvious effect.
