Abstract: The partial differential cquations for transient process in isothermal integral reactor were solved by orthogonal collocation method. The rate constants of the elemantary steps of the mechanism have been estimated by an optimization program and a differentialequations-solving program called Gear. Using the Arrhenius Equation, the pre-exponential factor k_0 and the activation energy E were obtained.
