Abstract: The transfer process of acetic acid from the hexane phase to the water phase was studied in a diffusional cell which is similar to a wetted wall column.The holograms of interfacial phenomena were taken by using a laser interferometry system,The effect of interfacial turbulence on mass transfer rate was analysed and the correlation equation for predicting enhancement factor of mass transfer coefficient was given.
