Abstract:
The Brinkman-Forchheime-extended Darcy model was used to analyze the two-dimensional laminar flow over an isothermal plate in porous medium under the condition of considering the local non-equilibrium between the fluid and the porous medium. The conservation equations were established and simplified by analyzing the order of magnitude of each item. The formulas of velocity boundary layer thickness, thermal boundary layer thickness and local surface viscous frictional coefficient and convection heat transfer coefficient were obtained by the integration method. It is shown that the velocity boundary layer in the porous medium increases very quickly at the beginning and then goes to a steady value along the flow direction. But the thermal boundary layer thickness is still similar to that of plain plate.
