    Measurement, Correlation and Prediction on the Surface Tension of Polymer Solutions

    • 摘要: 采用吊环法测定了聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDM S,1 000 mm2/s)在甲苯、环己烷、丁酮以及环己烷和丁酮混合溶剂中的表面张力随浓度的变化关系。在P rigog ine-D efay模型的基础上,引入了高分子链节有效浓度的概念,获得了相应的计算高分子溶液表面张力的改进模型,该改进模型对实验数据关联的平均相对误差为0.59%;对PDM S(1 000 mm2/s)在丁酮-环己烷混合溶剂体系的表面张力预测的平均相对误差为0.44%。

       

      Abstract: The relationship between the surface tension and the concentration of polymer solution was measured by the ring method,including the toluene-PDMS solution,cyclohexane-PDMS solution,(butanone-)PDMS solution and two mixed solvents-PDMS solution.This work obtained a new model to(calculate) the surface tension of polymer solutions based on the original Prigogine-Defay model as well as the(introduction) of the concept of the effective concentration of the polymer segments.After the modified P-D model was used to correlate the surface tension data,the average relative error is 0.59%.Also the modified P-D model can be used to predict the surface tension of the mixed solvent-PDMS solution,with the (average) error being about 0.44%.
