Abstract:
From the experimental determination of the solubility of C. I. Disperse Red 225 and 167 and also from the calculating data of their heats of solution, it was found that the two disperse dyes would show different behavior in aqueous medium and in dye bath. These differences are believed to be aroused by the following causes, they are:1. the state of the particles size;2. the effect of interfacial energy on the chemical potential of the bulk phase;3. the effect of the modifications on the solubility.
