    温度对玻璃态胆甾相环硅氧烷液晶中分子分布的影响

    Effects of Temperature on the Molecular Distribution of a Glassy Cholesteric Siloxane Cyclic Side-Chain Liquid Crystal

    • 摘要: 研究了温度对玻璃态胆甾相环硅氧烷液晶中分子分布的影响。结果表明:在环硅氧烷液晶玻璃化转变温度附近(或以上)对其进行长期的热处理过程中,高度柔性硅氧烷主链链段的运动为介晶基元的运动提供了充分的自由空间;将玻璃态环硅氧烷液晶加热到清亮点温度以上,该液晶由各向同性流体迅速冷却时,只形成取向有序排列;含有对-烯丙氧基苯甲酸胆固醇酯(手性小分子液晶)的玻璃态环硅氧烷液晶在一定温度下进行辊压取向处理时,形成树枝状分叉的粘性指延结构,常温辐照不会破坏该结构。

       

      Abstract: Effects of temperature on the molecule distribution of a glassy cholesteric siloxane cyclic side-chain liquid crystal is investigated in this paper.The experiment results show that the highly flexible chain segment movement of siloxane backbone near or higher than the glassy transition temperature supplies enough free room for the movement of mesogens.When the specimen is cooled quickly from the temperature higher than its clearing temperature,the mesogenic subunits are only oriented;The viscous fingering structure is formed when the specimen consisting of one glassy cyclic siloxane liquid crystal and the low molecule weight chiral mesogenic subunits(p-allyloxy-cholesterol benzoate) is rolled and the viscous fingering structure can not be destroyed when the specimen is radiated at room temperature.
