Abstract:
By analyzing the multi-peak distribution of discrete sample data, a statistical index of multi-peak distribution degrees is defined and the computing formula is given in this paper. The multipeak distribution degree is measured by means of the concave area between the peaks' values of those samples. Then, the procedure is presented to identify the samples with multi-peak distribution and to measure the distribution degree. Finally, the proposed method is illustrated by using an application example, in which the causes of multi-peak distribution are analyzed and the solving method is given.
