Abstract:
The double-lattice model presented by authors for the Helmholtz energy of mixingfor liquid mixtures has been extended to correlate the binary vapor liquid equili bria and excessenthalpy. It is shown that the corielated results for binary vapor liquid equilibria are goodas normal local composition models of activity coefficient, such as Wilson,NRTL and UNIQUACmodel. The excess enthalpy of binary systems with endothermal or exothermal can also besatisfactorily correlated by this model. However,it is not suitable for the systems with bothendothermal and exothermal. The second-order or high-order moment of additional energy fororiented interaction has no effect on the calculated results.
