    基于GPU运算的宏基因组第二代测序模拟软件

    Next Generation Sequencing Simulator for Metagenomics by Using GPU

    • 摘要: 提出一个新的宏基因组模拟系统NeSSM (Next Generation Sequencing Simulator for Metagenomics)。通过结合目前数据库中所有的基因组信息和一些初步的宏基因组测序信息,该系统可以产生一个接近于实际情况的模拟宏基因组测序数据。为了加快该系统的运行时间,运用了显卡计算(GPU并行化计算),通过并行化运算有效地缩短了程序运行所需时间。目前,NeSSM支持454和Illumina的测序平台。

       

      Abstract: A customizable metagenome simulation system——NeSSM (Next Generation Sequencing Simulator for Metagenomics) is presented here. By combining all the available genomes currently and some initial metagenome sequencing information, the system can create a simulated metagenome closer than ever to the reality. In order to reduce the system running time, we used the highly parallel arithmetic by using GPU. Currently, NeSSM supports 454 and Illumina sequencing platforms.
